Workshop Registration
What to wear and bring. Cancellation Policies.
Updated October 2012

REGISTER EARLY to reserve your spot and receive a discount*. Worshops have limited enrollment and registrations are honored on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration indicates you agree to the Early Registration and Cancellation Policiies, below, updated October 2012.

To register with cash, check or money order, please print and complete the Registration Form. Cash payments must be made in person. For check or money order, mail the form with your payment (payable to The Sun Center) to: The Sun Center, 1818 N. Wells Street, 3rd Flr, Chicago, IL 60614.

To register with credit card, complete this Registration Form-email and email as bcc: to suncenter@wholisticlifecenter.com. Instructions are given for secure sending.

*EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNT is applied only IF full registration is received 5 weeks prior to the first day of the workshop OR by the early registration date specified. Since many students miss the Early Registration by a margin, for two and three-day workshops, (or 14-24 CE) we sometimes offer an Almost Early discount, 4 weeks prior to the workshop.

For workshops in IL with out-of-town Guest Instructors, registration is slightly higher. Additional funds help to defray travel expenses.

Arrival, what to wear and bring: Please plan to arrive fifteen minutes early the first day of the workshop. Unless otherwise indicated, weekend workshops are 9am-6pm which includes a lunch break (about 1 or 1:30pm) to a nearby location. For your comfort, please wear or bring, loose-fitting clothing and socks or slippers, and dress in layers to accomodate changes in room temperature and Chicago’s changing weather. Bring one sheet (fitted or flat) and face cradle cover, pen/pencil and paper, water and funds for going out to lunch. If you have special dietary concerns and needs, please see to it that these needs are covered (bring a snack, special foods if required, etc.).

It is well-known that we learn best when we open our minds to consider new or different information and embody a spirit of playfulness and curiosity. A sense of play, with respect for the group process and consideration for each and every person will make for a harmonious learning environment, easy assimilation of the material and a delightful weekend.

CONTINUING EDUCATION: All Ortho-Bionomy courses sponsored by The Sun Center or taught by Ann Hoeffel qualify for Continuing Education requirements for NCTMB, which also qualify for Illinois Massage Therapy License and most state licenses, ABMP, SOBI, and AMTA. The term "CEUs" has been changed by NCTMB to "Contact Hours" (CHrs or CEs). Students must attend and participate in the workshop to receive Continuing Education credit. Hours will be deducted for every hour a students misses in the event of early departure or partial attendance.

CONTINUING EDUCATION RE-CERTIFICATION: Students are expected to keep track of certificates, workshop manuals and all information pertaining to re-certification and license renewal. If you request this information from The Sun Center, there will be a $15 administrative fee for the service.

REGISTRATION and CANCELLATION POLICY: We give an early registration savings to benefit you, to help everyone plan, and to ensure that the workshop space is large enough to accommodate the registrants. We encourage you to register early. Workshops with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled two weeks / 14 days before the workshop and all fees will, of course, be returned or applied to another workshop, as you wish.

  • Student cancellations received at least 5 weeks prior to the first day of each workshop will receive a refund minus the $100 administrative fee, unless otherwise specified.
  • Cancellations received at least 2 weeks prior will receive credit towards a future workshop, minus the $100 administrative fee.
  • No refund will be given for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to the first day of class, or for students who do not cancel or who do not attend part or all of the workshop.
  • The cancellation policy goes hand in hand with the early registration savings benefit. Cancellations are almost always due to unforseen, often unfortunate circumstances outside our control; we feel the discount offered for early registrations more than offsets the cost incurred by a student's infrequent and unfortunate need to cancel.
  • This policy is a customary and necessary part of doing business and applies equally to everyone; there are no exceptions.
  • Thank you for your consideration and cooperation.
