Ann Hoeffel is Owner/Director of The Sun Center, established in 1985 in Chicago, Illinois. A Wholistic Health Practitioner, Teacher and Artist, Ann has been in private practice and studying wholistic healing systems professionally for over 30 years. She has over 4800 hours of training. Committed to lifelong learning, Ann's extensive training has prepared her to faciltiate whole self-healing from the inside-out, on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels, achieving effective, lasting results for her clients. True healing resolves the underlying cause of imbalances, pain, and illness. It is a process of discovery that always changes one's life for the better. As a trainer, mentor and advisor for practitioners and a Continuing Education instructor, Ann has taught in various cities in the US and in Canada. Currently, she's been teaching mostly in Chicago. Ann has been in private practice since 1984. Her certifications include: Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Nationally Board Certified as a Continuing Education Instructor, Registered Advanced Instructor and Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy®, Certified in Hypnotherapy by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, Certified in Sound, Color and Vibration by the Esoteric Philosophy Center, Certified Instructor of LAMAS Qi Gong, a Licensed Massage Therapist and long-standing member of the American Massage Therapy Asssociation. She is also a qualified CranioSacral Therapist, practicing since 1987 and VortexHealing Practitioner since 2006. Ann studied Metaphysics, Yoga, the intuitive arts, visual arts and language arts for years prior to her training in the healing arts. She speaks French semi-fluently, having spent a year living in Paris. Ann earned a BS in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a split minor in Italian and Art History..
Before immersing herself in the healing arts, Ann had a ceramic studio, The Clay Place, and worked as an artist in fiber and ceramics (specializing in Raku and ceramic sculpture) She taught both adults and children. At that time, she also taught Art, French, Movement and Yoga, with a special joy for teaching (and learning from) children. Recently she realized a long-felt heart's desire to photograph and paint nature. Ann lives, works and plays, mostly in Chicago.
