Public Transportation: PMTI is located in Northwest Washington, DC on Wisconsin Avenue. Our neighborhood is referred to as Friendship Heights. The school is convenient to Metro Bus and Metro Rail (subway) with the Friendship Heights Metro Stop on the Red Line just 2 1/2 blocks away. Also within easy walking distance are two shopping malls, quaint retail shops, a variety of good restaurants, a grocery and drugstore, and an Embassy Suites Hotel. There are numerous trains with stations within a few miles of our location. Find an interactive map for the Metro, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

Take the Red Line Metro to the Friendship Heights Metro Station. From the platform, take the Jennifer Street exit. At street level, you will be walking south (or to your right) on Wisconsin Avenue. PMTI is 2 1/2 blocks away on the same side of the street at 5028 Wisconsin Avenue.

Nearest airport: Washington, D.C. (Reagan) airport is in the city of Washington, D.C.; Washington, D.C. (Dulles) International Airport is in Herndon, VA; Baltimore (BWI) is also nearby. Baltimore (BWI) is also convenient, albeit a longer train ride to the school.

There is a shuttle from Dulles to the school for $31 + tip.

Trains from Baltimore (BWI) airport are very convenient. Take the MARC (less than $10) or AMTRAK (about $20, more comfy, more costly) to Union Station in Washington, D.C. You can catch the Metro there and take a Red Line to Friendship Heights ($ few). (See above paragraph for more information.)
Trains from Reagan Airport is also possible by train.

Lodging: If not driving in for the workshop, the school mentions the most frequently used hotel is Embassy Suites, 4300 Military Rd NW, Washington, DC 20015, (202) 362-9300.

If you are driving in, you can shop around, priceline, hotwire and others. There is an option on the map to look for hotels in the area as well. If you find something suitable, please let me know and we will post it here so everyone can benefit.

Southwest airlines has an option to find a hotel at a good rate on their site, southwest.com; you must book in advance. There you'll find lots of information you can then search on your own, if you prefer not to pay in advance.

If you have additional information, we'd be happy to update this page.
