This is the class for the shoulder that so many body therapists have been asking for — Ortho-Bionomy® for muscles, fascia, tension melting.
Save your hands, elbows and backs, and get great results-really! Learn how to use proprioceptive release mechanisms for deep, easy releases that last.
"My shoulders feel like they've dropped down. Way down. Like way way way way down. My jaw feels better, too. Wow, that's amazing. I'm so relaxed." - G.W., client
A perfect complement to Craniosacral work and to help relieve headaches, neck, mid-back and shoulder pain. Here's your chance to try it, see it and feel it for yourself.
Especially when chronic, tension in these muscles adversely affects the craniosacral system, alignment and function of the neck and upper body. We'll discuss the relevance of these techniques to your work with clients and how to integrate new learning with current modalities. Students love how easy it is and the phenomenal results they get the very next day with clients. You'll love the way you feel with every release - Yes!
Body mechanics, anatomy review, assessments, how to release tensions, re-pattern and integrate benefits and increased freedom in movement range are part of every Ortho-Bionomy workshop that Ann teaches.
Included: (Bodyworkers benefit being on the table, too. And it lasts - YES!)

"My right shoulder had been bothering me for months. The hospital in Columbia, where I live, told me that if the pain didn't get better, I should have surgery. Inside I thought, 'I'm not having surgery'! I knew I'd be coming to the US and could get treatment here. When I arrived, I tried everything I could think of and nothing helped. Just now, all it took was 3 minutes of Ann doing the shoulder (subscapularis) release demonstration and look (demonstrating) -my shoulder is totally better! I have total freedom of movement. (Emphatically) Listen, I'm telling you: I had 6 treatments with different therapists, and no improvement - 2 cupping sessions such that I looked like a pepperoni pizza, acupuncture, chiropractic treatment, deep tissue massage - and no improvement until now. After a 3-minute demonstration of technique, it's totally better. I'm just so happy. I love Ortho-Bionomy. I've had sessions with Ann before and the results were amazing. That's why I signed up for this class."
These muscles are not traditionally presented in the Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner curriculum, therefore, the units qualify as an elective or Advanced Phase 4 (includes 1-4) for the Practitioner Training Program. Muscles not included in this workshop are covered in the Extremities classes and in The Shoulder: Restoring Alignment & Circulation.
