The Shoulder: Restoring Alignment & Circulation, 6 CE

- Bilateral movement of the shoulder and clavicle.
- The third rib (relates to shoulder problems and circulation as well as breathing).
- Eight shoulder points critical to shoulder alignment, circulation and full function of the shoulder (which includes biceps, deltoid and others). Relieve tension in thoracic outlet and alleviate impingement of nerves, blood vessels in the area.

The Leg: Restoring Alignment & Circulation, 6 CE
Based largely on Osteopathic principles, Ortho-Bionomy focuses on restoring alignment and circulation for health, harmony and function of the whole body, the whole person. The way of achieving this is by working with innate proprioceptive reflexes that are part of the body's instinct / design for optimal function, self-regulation, and ultimately, survival. Learn how to assess, release restrictions and integrate change that require comfort and ease to restore alignment and circulation for the leg.
Students will be instructed in and will practice assessment, release and integration of improvements gained for the LEG, including:
- The femur joint.
- Structural alignment of the knee, including the patella.
- Six knee points critical to the alignment of the leg and knee, and to the function of the meniscus. Help prevent meniscus tears and knee surgery.

ETHICS & EMOTIONAL ISSUES , 6 CE
For professional bodyworkers. See calendar for dates.
Having a clear, well-founded Code of Ethics provides therapists with a solid platform on which a successful practice can fluorish. As bodyworkers, it is crucial that we understand and are prepared to meet the special challenges that arise in an intimate work setting such as ours. Creating a safe environment and effective communication with clients of expectations and limitations is foundational.
The intention of this workshop is to support and empower therapists in refreshing their professional and personal Code of Ethics with renewed understanding that will enable them to make good decisions when challenges arise. Through an open-hearted, non-judgmental discussion of unusual situations that arise, surprises, fears and doubts and how to deal with them, therapists can feel less isolated and gain insight. Topics covered will be open to participants and will include the broad scope of ethics, clarifying boundaries, roles, limitations, emotional energy and sacred space, what to do when emotions arise, areas of personal growth and how to meet them responsibly.
Please bring to class: pen or pencil and paper, and a willingness to discuss challenging situations at work.
